Birds? Check. Sunshine? Double check. An awesome crew of tiny bird nerds? Check, check, check.

We had an absolute blast celebrating the Biggest Day in Birding with our friends at Open Trail Collective during a nature play date at Kendall Lake in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. If you’ve never heard of the Biggest Day in Birding, it’s basically a global excuse to go outside and get way too excited about feathered things—and we were here for it.

We hit the trails in search of warblers, woodpeckers, and waterfowl! We spotted grackles, geese, herons fishing(!!), and even barn swallows playing right above our heads! We ended our morning with storytime, snacks, and some DIY binoculars- the kids loved them!
Huge thanks to the amazing families who joined us, and an even bigger thanks to Kara from Open Trail Collective.

Missed it? Don’t worry! We've got more great events coming your way!Â
